Supernatural creator Eric Kripke has confirmed that demon Meg Masters will be making a comeback in the next season.

The character was banished to hell in the finale of season one, but later escaped to possess Sam (Jared Padalecki).

She also appeared briefly as a ghost in a season four episode.

Speaking to TV Guide Magazine, Kripke said: “I’ve been wondering what Meg’s doing out there. I’ve been continually asking the writers, ‘Where’s Meg?’

“She would make a really formidable adversary. I got impatient and ended up writing her into my own script.”

It is understood that former Guiding Light star Rachel Miner has been cast in the role after original actress Nikki Aycox was unavailable. Miner has reportedly signed on for one episode. [Source]

Just announced – remember Meg (will be played by Rachel Miner), the sassy demon with a huge grudge against the Winchester boys?  Well, she’s back!  This news comes after the recent report that Adrianne Palicki, Sam Winchester’s (Jared Padalecki) ill-fated girlfriend Jessica will return to reprise her role this season.

Dean and Sam find themselves in trouble with the law.

“The Usual Suspects” drops viewers smack into the middle of the case of the week, just as Dean and Sam are being arrested. The episode then gives us an intriguing glimpse into the Winchester brothers’ world as they manage to solve the case, while Dean is stuck in jail and Sam is on the lam. It’s a departure from the standard set up for the show, but it works well, and it is interesting to watch them work as a coordinated team even while they are not physically together.
Two well-known guest stars, Linda Blair and Jason Gedrick, make appearances as police detectives investigating two murders, with Dean as their main suspect. It is amusing to see the Winchester life through an outsider’s perspective; the grave desecration, credit card fraud, and breaking and entering all seem to obviously point toward their guilt. To make matters worse, Dean is caught standing over a dead body when the police arrive. In a nice bit of continuity, the shapeshifter from season one’s “Skin” comes back to haunt Dean as he is still on the hook for murders the creature committed while assuming Dean’s form. While it is intriguing to have more famous names than usual in the guest cast, neither role is exceptional enough to distract from the fact that they are being played by Linda Blair and Jason Gedrick, unfortunately.  Read full article.

Adrianne Palicki, Sam Winchester’s (Jared Padalecki) ill-fated girlfriend Jessica will return to reprise her role this season on Supernatural.  Jessica, who was killed by a demon in the Supernatural pilot episode, returned at the end of Season 2 when Dean was on his Genie-granting alternate reality trip.  Then Jessica again disappeared into the void.

Well fans, she’s back!  Details are very secret and guarded, but she is back for at least one episode in the upcoming season (just not the premiere episode).

Considering Azazel’s revelation in last season’s finale that he wanted Sam and his powers to kill Lilith in order to free Lucifer, could Jennifer’s death have been part of the plan to set Sam in motion?  If so, her role could be more important than first thought.

AT SIX foot four inches tall and weighing in at 220lbs, most of it muscle, Supernatural star Jared Padalecki is a formidable presence both on and off screen.

But the man who battles all kinds of paranormal nasties with fists, knives, guns and even the power of his mind, on the cult TV show, reveals he is soft as a marshmallow inside when it comes to animals – and even cried at Marley & Me.

He was persuaded to watch the hit movie about a family and their disobedient dog by co-star Jensen Ackles, whom he noticed was looking suspiciously red-eyed after seeing it while the pair were flying back from Australia.

“I’ll admit it,â€� says Jared. “It totally got to me. I’d read the book and it was fantastic. If you haven’t seen it and you want to cry…â€�

Jared, who was in Birmingham recently to attend fan convention Asylum 3, dedicated to the show he stars in, is devoted to his dogs Harley, a mastiff, and Sadie, a German Shepherd. During holidays he even insists on driving them all the way from Vancouver, where the series is filmed, to his native Texas, after a friend warned him about the number of pets that die during flights.
